Floating Repairs

A floating repair is one that isn’t assigned a definite appointment. It is placed into the relevant trade’s diary and will ‘float’ around until a suitable slot becomes free. These types of appointments are ideal for outdoor work where access isn’t required into or through a property. When using this function, the repair will float anytime from the date of it being loaded until it’s target date.

You book one by using the ‘Schedule Now’ button as opposed to ‘Show Scheduler’. Once in the diary the appointment will look like this:

If a customer would like a definite appointment for a floating repair, you can do this by clicking ‘Show Scheduler’ and following your usual steps for appointing a job. Please add in the notes though the reason for it requiring an appointment, e.g. access required, customer wants to speak with operative etc.
